Page 170 of Family man now online!

At last, at last, at laaaaast, an update.  Let’s not think about how long it’s going to take me to wind down from all the tea I’ve had tonight, shall we?  Some costs cannot be estimated.

What a month, guys.  I’m slowly digging my way out.

I want to know what tea this is, that so carries you. The best I’ve got is Morning Thunder, which is pretty zappy, but would certainly not give me the oomph to be creative after a month like yours.

Hope the rest of the year is wildly better- and that the tea keeps working.

I use many teas! Right now I’m going through an Earl Grey kick. The heavy matcha teas tend to be too heavy-tasting for me. For this page I stuck to a mug of cheap green tea that I let steep too long. Which I love. So deliciously bitter!

Although I wouldn’t say the tea so much provides oomph as the ability to not fall asleep.

    Tea!

There’s evidence that Earl Grey does the same sort of things for you that red wine does, with the phytochemicals. Also, it tastes way better.

You should try some green pu-erh.
    It’s pricey, mind you…

however, I’ve brewed one piece (it comes in little pressed cakes) five times, and it was still going strong. So still cheaper than buying tea at Starbucks.

    • If you are one of the VERY few people left who hasn't gotten your (non-watercolor) pre-order, you get pick-up service and free extras!
    • At SPX: Patches and bookplates left over from pre-order packages, oh yes, and that whole book never before sold on the East coast.
    • Tribute is still the best, though. Whenever I'm making out with Caslon, I'm secretly thinking about Tribute. http://bit.ly/c32Veu
